I imagine if you've bothered to come this far into the site, you probably are interested in how My Medium Rare came into being and the reasons behind it.  In order for you to understand where I'm coming from with this project, I'll have to give you some background information.

My home town is Montebello, CA, a suburb just east of Los Angeles.  When I was a little boy, so my father told me, he used to write a column for the Montebello Outlook entitled, "Medium Rare", by Jim Rarey.  In these articles he would expose hypocriscy and corruption where ever he found it.  My father moved on into doing accounting for Burroughs.  Burroughs later merged with Sperry and became Unisys, and my father stayed with the company.  But he never lost the desire for investigative journalism, and after retiring from Unisys he began investigating and writing again.  His "Medium Rare" articles could be found all over the Internet. My father passed away in 2006 after a bout with a brain tumor.  I have decided to operate this website as my personal tribute to him. 

Dad wrote about a lot of conspiracies covering everything from the Waco Shootout to David Foster's alleged suicide.  I loved my father very much, but I didn't always see things exactly as he did. But then, who does always agree with their mom or dad?  Anyway, I won't be writing about things in the same manner.  That's why I call it "My Medium Rare".  Instead, I'll be commenting and giving my viewpoint of politics, news and events. Maybe some sports now and then, too.
