One must admit that the strategy the Obama Administration is using in order to control Americans is near genius. Obama and his cohorts ACORN, SEIU and the UAW all are attacking us from different angles, but with a unified goal. There are other accomplices abetting these acts, but we’ll concentrate on these for now. First, let’s look at what ACORN has been and will be doing. ACORN helped out with registering enough fraudulent voters in key areas to seal the deal for democrat rule in Washington DC. This wasn’t just regarding the presidential election. This involved getting key people into offices of all types at different levels including governors, attorneys general, and judges over an extended period of time. Next up for them is to selectively add to the US Census enough new citizens (yeah, right) to require additional positions in Congress. These will of course be areas that are overwhelmingly democrat so as to ensure all of the new Congressmen or women are democrats. This will help keep Obama in power beyond 2012 when the mid-term elections would, under normal circumstances, kick out those in Congress that are spending America into oblivion. Whether or not this leg of the plan actually works will depend on how much of the populace will be angry and vote. If that doesn’t work, Obama has a contingency plan to keep the plan going. All those czars he’s appointed to run things answer only to him, and they’ll carry out his will regardless of what Congress says. The SEIU and UAW will be attacking us on slightly different sides. Both will obviously be pushing for the legislation already in play known as the Card Check, that would give unions the ability to organize unsuspecting workers without their knowledge, or approval. All the organizers have to do is get the employees to sign the cards; usually by telling them it’s just for informational purposes. Yes, organizers lie to employees. I’ve witnessed it. Once enough cards are signed, viola! A union is created. The employees don’t get to vote on it. But this is just the tip of the iceberg. There are other means by which the unions and Obama will bring down private companies. In the Healthcare bill, there are plans to tax employees and employers on their private healthcare plans to help pay for the government option. That act alone would tend to force businesses to stop providing an increasingly expensive benefit, thereby forcing everyone into the government plan. But there’s a second part to that. Union healthcare plans will be exempt from the taxes. So there will be some that decide to go union just for those savings, even though going union will end up costing them more anyway. But you get the picture. Obama and the UAW will begin another aspect of controlling Americans. Cars. Small, cheap, fuel efficient but mileage challenged cars. People just won’t be able to drive cars wherever they want to anymore. The new cars won’t have the range. The old gas cars will eventually be outlawed, but the Cap and Trade energy tax will make sure gas is too expensive to buy in the mean time. So let’s review to this point. Obama and his cronies will see to it that Americans will no longer have choice about healthcare, will not be mobile enough to travel and waste what should be paid in taxes. Americans will also no longer have complete choice over where or whom they work for. Wait, there’s more! Enter “Location Efficient” mortgages and developments. These will be overseen mainly by Freddie Mac. Yes Freddie Mac. You know, the government run lending institution that got the mortgage default thing going. They’ll be at it again, giving preference to helping those who want to live in the big cities, relying on public transportation and probably won’t own a car. This will strongly encourage people to leave the rural, outlying areas in favor of living closer to work, schools, shopping and crime…. Oh wait leave that one out. Eventually no one will be able to afford to live outside of the cities. That's the goal here. A centralized population, with limited mobility, is much easier to control than those that are spread out over vast distances and have their own mobility. There is a vast array of attacks underway, but that in a nutshell is how Obama will transform our once great nation into a third world country made up of two classes; the ruling government class and the poor worker class. Obama and his supporters will tell you this is all necessary to fight global warming and fix the economy. They also won’t tell you that their “fix’ for the economy is socialism. And they don’t give a damn about global warming. They know it’s a scam. If you honestly look at the effects the legislation they’re enacting will have, not blindly accept what they say. Obama likes to say that words mean something. They do, but they can also be used to misdirect and mislead. It’s more important to watch what he does, than what he says. |

This little item didn't make headlines in California, but it should have. You see, the Hollywood types have been crying, albeit quietly, about the cost of making movies in California. The implied threat was that they'd pack up and move elsewhere. This, of course, would have caused considerable damage to the state and local economies, leading to greater unemployment and a smaller tax base. Enter State Senator Ron Calderon of Montebello. He sponsored legislation that offered tax incentives (tax breaks) to Hollywood in order to keep them in California and keep thousands, if not millions of Californians employed and keep a wide tax base. What's amazing about this is that he actually got the Bill passed and signed into law. That's the first time in 14 years that the State Legislature has passed any tax cuts for big business. Here's what Senator Calderon had to say about the whole thing, according to a press release posted on his Senate Website. “This isn’t a gift to Hollywood,” said Calderon. “It’s a gift to the state because it means more jobs for electricians, grips, carpenters, camera operators, drivers, make-up artists, and caterers, and more spending at thousands of small businesses throughout the state More important, this can be the start of reversing a stampede of film makers who choose other states. The exodus stops now!” Now you may ask how a lone Republican was actually able to convince the Democrat controlled California Legislature to give tax breaks to any big business in order to keep them around. For one thing, it was probably an easier sell since the Democrats and Hollywood are pretty tight. The other thing is that Senator Calderon is a Democrat. But it appears he understands that Republican ideals do work. Not only did he get these tax breaks passed, he's also introduced a Bill to curb environmental demands that the California Air Resources Board (CARB) is pushing upon gas station owners and creating severe financial hardships for these small businesses. Most liberals would say "Too bad, so sad" to the families that run these stations. However, Senator Calderon seems to get it, at least as far as these two incidents are concerned. What remains to be seen is if the rest of the Democrats in the California Legislature will do the same for other big businesses to keep them in California, or will this truly turn out to be a gift just to Hollywood? Perhaps that's why there wasn't much fanfare about the deal. The Democrats may not have wanted anyone to know that tax breaks work. In the interest of full disclosure, I will point out that I went to high school with Sen. Ron Calderon. He was a very likable guy back then and I have no reason to doubt he still is. I don't recall having any ideological discussions with him back then either, and I haven't really spoken to him recently except to say hello a couple of years back when I returned to California. And, I am not one of his constituents. I certainly wish him the best, especially if he continues down this conservative path. |

Rep. Kanjorski, Your Ignorance Is Showing |

I began watching the Dog and Pony show known as the Congressional Hearings regarding the AIG bonuses. I didn't have much time to spend before heading out to work and, as luck would have it, I didn't need much time to see Congressional ignorance at its best. Subcommittee Chairman Paul Kanjorski (D-Pa) stepped up to the plate early proclaiming that in his past life he was a lawyer and had apparently battled Edward Liddy's former company, Allstate, in court at least once. There was no indication given of who won. He said he couldn't understand how AIG or any insurance company could deny a claim and basically tell a claimant to sue them if they didn't like it, but they couldn't do the same regarding the executive bonuses. I know, its completely rediculous. Rep. Kanjorski was attempting to draw a comparison between an insurance company's denial to pay out on a claim they didn't feel they were liable for, and deciding to honor a labor contract with their own employees. But it does illustrate the problem we have with Congress trying to guide businesses out of trouble. When you are that far out of touch with the real world, all you do is cause more problems. Then you had Barney Frank (D-Ma) throwing a hissy-fit and wanting the names of the AIG employees that got the bonuses. Hey Barney, how about releasing the figures concerning the payouts you took from Freddie and Fannae while you looked the other way as they started crumbling away? Besides, in spite of his previous denials, Sen. Chris Dodd (D-Ct) has finally admitted that he authored the amendment to the Stimulus Bill that okayed payment of those bonuses. Of course, he claims that Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner "forced" him to do it. That and the fact he thought Obama would veto the entire bill if he didn't put it in, although he says no one ever mentioned a possible veto. In essence, Dodd is blaming it all on Obama. And Obama says the buck stops with him, unless of course he decides it's more politically advantageous to blame it on Bush. Now the Democrat controlled Congress is looking at passing further legislation in order to take back the bonuses that their previous Stimulus Bill authorized. They passed a law which now they don't like so a month later they want to pass another law to take back a portion of the previous law so that the current law will be right until the next public relations nightmare raises its ugly head then they'll have to go back and.... well, you get the idea. It not only proves they don't know what they're enacting in the first place, it proves that they have no respect for law anyway. And their word means absolutely nothing. Just what kind of message is this sending to the general public and to the private sector? Rush Limbaugh has got to be having the time of his life right now. |
